Conditional Sentences: Introduction

What are conditional sentences?

In this lesson, you will learn to know. 

1. What conditional sentences are: 

They are two-clause sentences. One of the clause state condition while the other one is to tell what result happen from the condition. They are different types of conditionals to be used for different situations regarding tenses, such as present, past, and future. 

2. Elements/parts in conditional sentences

One of the clauses is called dependent clause of if-clause. It tells condition. The other one is called result clause. It tell results from the condition. 

3. How conditional sentences are different

There are roughly four conditional types: All of them are deferent in the verbs used in both if-clauses and result clauses. In addition, they are used for different situations in term present, past, or future.
