ING Spelling

• -e : omit e and add ing. (exception with ee and ie)

Take ==> taking; make ==>  making; … (see ==>  seeing; lie ==>  lying; die ==>  dying; …)

• CVC: add final C and add ing: (exception with w, x, and y)

                    sit ==>  sitting;                     cut ==>  cutting;                 stop ==>  stopping; 

                    run ==>  running;                 jog ==>  jogging;                 swim ==>  swimming; …

                    

                    begin ==>  beginning;         prefer ==>  preferring;         admit ==>  admitting; …

                    answer ==>  answering;     listen ==>  listening;             offer ==>  offering; …

• Other verbs take ing:

                    study ==>  studying;         walk ==>  walking;             sew ==>  sewing; 

                    box ==>  boxing;                 speak ==>  speaking
